Session Description

A flipped classroom that solely moves lecture to home and homework to class is only slightly more effective than the reverse. The question for educators intrigued by flipped learning (or put off by it) should be “How can I structure my class in way that students are questioning, thinking, collaborating, writing, and growing as learners?” I’ll be sharing how my colleague (Steve Kelly) and I collaborated to create an inquiry based math classroom with flipped lessons as the backbone of the class. I’ll discuss how this resulted in more engaged students, deeper conversations, and a more solid understanding of the mathematics.

If you’re planning to attend please fill out this form prior to coming and be prepared to engage in a bit of inquiry during the session!
